ValueLog
ValueLog is the basic evidence unit in the GrowthFlowEngineering model.
It records what happened, who did it, when it happened, and what proof exists. Without that record, teams end up with activity claims but weak operating memory.
What it is
The SkillSystem treats a ValueLog as an organizational receipt, not a time sheet. It is the atomic attestation that a specific task was completed to specification and produced verifiable proof.
That matters because AI-speed execution amplifies false positives. If work can move a KPI, a process, or an operating dashboard without proof, leadership ends up managing Ghost Value instead of real value.
Why it matters
- It turns execution into evidence.
- It gives leadership a factual base for coaching, prioritization, and AI rollout decisions.
- It helps connect work performed to operating improvements and enterprise value logic.
What a ValueLog captures
- executor
- task or workflow reference
- proof or artifact
- timestamp
- acceptance criteria or completion signal
In SkillSystem terms, the ValueLog is the point where work stops being claimed and starts being attested.
How it works in practice
- A task is executed inside a governed process.
- The proof artifact is captured.
- The ValueLog attests that the work actually happened.
- That attested work can then be traced into process performance, KPI movement, OKR accountability, and ValuationOps.
If the log is missing, the system should treat the value claim as incomplete.
How it fits into the SkillSystem
The canonical chain is:
ValueLog -> Task -> Process -> KPI -> OKR -> ValuationOps -> Enterprise Value
That is why ValueLogs matter beyond operations hygiene. They are the first trustworthy input in the enterprise-value chain.
Where founders and operators feel it
- Forecasting improves when teams can trust the execution evidence underneath the numbers.
- AI adoption becomes safer when automated actions still have proof thresholds.
- Board and investor conversations improve when the operating story is backed by traceable work rather than narrative only.
